D.D. Burke Everhart is a North Carolina–based Southern Gothic Appalachian author whose work explores grief, love, faith, self-discovery, psychological conflict, regional history, and the supernatural. Rooted in Appalachia’s landscapes and storytelling traditions, she writes characters who walk through darkness without surrendering the possibility of hope.

She holds an associate degree in Surgical Technology and Applied Science from Davidson-Davie Community College and is completing her bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and English with a concentration in Publishing at Southern New Hampshire University. Her published work includes The Death Chronicles and the blog The 56th Mile of Life. She is also the co-founder and CEO of Lantern Grace LLC, a creative company dedicated to storytelling, travel, culture, and meaningful connection.
